Therapist Agreement & Terms – Wanas Platform

This Agreement governs the relationship between Wanas Platform and the therapists, mental health professionals, coaches, and service providers registered on the platform.

Wans is a digital mental health platform founded and managed by Dr. Milad Khalifa. The platform operates as an electronic intermediary that organizes and facilitates access to mental health support and therapy services provided by independent professionals.

Dr. Milad Khalifa is a psychiatrist holding a Master’s degree in Psychiatry and Neurology from Ain Shams University, a holder of the Egyptian Fellowship in Psychiatry, and licensed to practice medicine in the Arab Republic of Egypt.


1) Joining Requirements

Therapists and specialists joining the platform must:

  • Hold appropriate professional qualifications and licenses.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information, certificates, and credentials.
  • Comply with professional ethics and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Use the platform professionally in a manner that preserves the reputation of the platform and its users.

The specialist bears full legal responsibility for the validity of all submitted licenses and information.


2) Nature of Relationship

The therapist is considered an independent service provider and not an employee of the platform. Wans does not guarantee any minimum number of sessions, clients, or earnings.

The therapist’s presence on the platform does not constitute a partnership, employment relationship, or direct legal representation of the platform.


3) Professional Responsibility

The therapist bears full professional responsibility for:

  • Diagnosis
  • Therapeutic recommendations
  • Session management
  • Professional decisions
  • Advice or content provided to users

The therapist agrees to practice in accordance with legally and professionally recognized ethical and professional standards.


4) Confidentiality & Data Protection

Therapists must maintain complete confidentiality regarding all users’ data and information and must not use or disclose such information outside the scope of services provided through the platform.

Therapists are prohibited from:

  • Recording sessions
  • Sharing user information
  • Using information for personal or commercial purposes

unless explicit legal consent has been obtained from both the user and the platform.


5) Sessions & Professional Conduct

Therapists agree to:

  • Respect scheduled appointments
  • Provide services professionally and respectfully
  • Maintain professional boundaries
  • Refrain from abuse, discrimination, or harassment
  • Use appropriate and professional language

The platform reserves the right to suspend or terminate therapist accounts in cases of repeated complaints, professional misconduct, or inappropriate behavior.


6) Emergency Situations

Therapists are responsible for handling emergency mental health situations professionally and referring high-risk cases, including self-harm or suicidal ideation, to appropriate medical authorities or emergency services when necessary.

The therapist acknowledges that Wans Platform is not an emergency psychiatric or urgent medical service.


7) Coaching Services

Coaches are not permitted to:

  • Provide medical or psychiatric diagnoses
  • Prescribe medications or medical treatments
  • Claim to offer specialized psychological or medical treatment without accredited qualifications

Coaching services must be clearly presented as non-clinical personal support and self-development services.


8) Off-Platform Communication Restriction

Therapists agree not to directly or indirectly solicit or redirect platform users outside the platform for private services without prior written approval from the platform administration.

The platform reserves the right to take appropriate action in the event of violation.


9) Payments & Financial Terms

Payments and revenue shares shall be managed according to the financial policies and percentages approved by the platform.

The platform reserves the right to modify payment methods, revenue shares, or financial policies after notifying therapists in advance.

The platform is not responsible for any taxes or financial obligations owed by therapists under applicable local laws.


10) Intellectual Property

The therapist grants the platform the right to display the following information within the application, website, and marketing materials throughout the duration of cooperation:

  • Name
  • Professional profile image
  • Specialty
  • Biography
  • Professional introductory content

11) Termination

The platform reserves the right to suspend or terminate therapist accounts in cases including, but not limited to:

  • Violation of laws or professional ethics
  • Submission of false information or licenses
  • Harm to users or the platform
  • Violation of this Agreement
  • Misuse of user data
  • Attempting to redirect users outside the platform

Therapists may also request termination of cooperation according to the platform’s approved procedures and policies.


12) Limitation of Liability

Wans Platform operates solely as an electronic intermediary facilitating mental health services between users and independent professionals and shall not be held responsible for therapists’ professional decisions, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations.

The platform shall also not be liable for:

  • Technical failures beyond its control
  • Internet interruptions
  • User behavior
  • Any indirect or consequential damages

13) Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the competent courts of the Arab Republic of Egypt shall have jurisdiction unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
